So I recently acquired Serum 2, so what sort of thing might you expect me to do next?
That's right, I used a waterproof stereo contact mic to record the sound of ice thawing in a margarita glass for almost 20 minutes, with a little delay from Magneto by Strymon.
I got Serum 2 and...

Wow, a waterproof stereo mic!
It did some nice sounds when you added more ice into the glass - maybe you shoulda help the sound-making a bit by hitting the glass with a stick or mix it wit a stick, but yeah, it's a supercool thing how you always come up with new ways to create sounds, respect! May I ask how much did the mic cost?

Sorry I'm slow responding - my brain is mush thanks to the health stuff so I've been slow on a lot of things. The mic was about $45 - mostly because I wanted the 3-prong mic output ends, they had other options that were less expensive. Tidbit Audio made it, but others make them as well. If I could solder and had the materials you could make it for about $10-15, as contact mics are about the cheapest there is.Heigen5 wrote: Sun Apr 13, 2025 9:10 pm Wow, a waterproof stereo mic!![]()

I had a suggestion of burying it a little ways at the beach when tide comes in, but since I don't get out much I'll stick to things I can try at home.
