analog toms

Post by DollarBill »

Just one minute of new bonk bonks. Picked up the ADDAC104 toms so I have more CVable percussion options.

Those sound good. Are you adding any reverb at all? It seems to have a natural drum reverb to it.

The're naturally totally dry, so I'm certain I had them running through a reverb module. It's possible I was "pushing" them somewhere in the chain too for some overdrive too, since unless the context demands extra thin drums, it's usually a good idea to push them that way. The fun part about them that makes the module more useful than the slightly less expensive base module is that all 4 toms are CV tuneable, so you're not limited to 4 static notes. I was only altering the pitch of 1 of the 4 here, but that one made a big difference compared to without it when I was wiring things up.
