Thanks man. I now have hope. I am not giving my TV the bird anymore...well mostly until some right wing seditionist open his mouth in front of a camera.

Naw. It's all good now. The hate and divisiveness is gone. Even the nazi white racist groups seem to have tucked tail and run. All the threats against the ceremonies vanished without a trace too. Not to worry though the Feds will find them. They just need to restart the work they stopped in the '00 of rounding up these pricks. I think even the right wing assholes in congress will fold...if they want to be re-elected.

They are not gone. They consider the storming of the Capital to be a success simply because they got away with it. They will start other crap and I expect there to be attacks.

What is interesting is a lot of the Nazis, White Nationalists and the Q nuts all feel betrayed by Trump at the moment. So at the moment they are splintered but all it will take is for another charismatic figure to bring them together again.

Yeah, I know. But it will be awhile. Perhaps it will give law enforcement enough time to jail the leaders. I find it really funny that there are those who feel betrayed by Trump. Many are saying that Biden is now part of the movement or at least has a part to play. Dilutional sheep.

Ya know I remember Frank from the old GC saying that those not in the right wing fold were sheep. I think we all know who the sheep really are.

I'm in the hope to see some quality leading by Biden. For me, USA should show out some exemplary behavior, how all kinds of the different ethnic groups can live in a big harmony.

That is kind of the defining struggle in politics here and in Europe. The rise of the right wing Nationalist style of politics has moved race, ethnicity and national origin to a position in politics that has not been seen since the 1930s. What do we want to do moving forward.

I read a good article the other day, defining the groups who did storm the capital as some of the most privileged people in history. They were largely working class white people who have never wanted for anything in their lives. Yet somehow they have been convinced their social status in the US has been reduced, simply because racial and ethnic groups that did suffer from inequality in the past, have made gains in modern US society. And now, they want to burn everything down. I can’t really speak to the Nationalist Right wing in Europe but with immigration being forefront in their policy, I can’t imagine they are much different.

And it is perfectly legitimate to question immigration policy but to do it based on racial lines is very dangerous. So what is the answer?

I hve to ask a single question. What has immigration to do with your everyday life? The answer for 99% of people is absolutely nothing. Why deny access to people. Doesn't a state want more people. Or is it "just not those people". Fucking stupid. Now if you want to talk about the costs on government that is a legit question. Most immigrants I know work harder than I do. There are too many lies or generalizations about immigrants. Questions of security are not part of immigration. As has been recently noted here in the US, most security issues are from those that want to deny access. It makes no sense. It would be nice if people would use their own reasoning with a degree of knowledge rather than listen to a bigoted anti-government asshole who veils their goals with misleading talk of freedom and patriotism.

In Finland and Estonia (as I don't know much about the other European countries) nationalism has also been rising up. Not in a big way, but both these 2 countries got a new politic party, that stand for the so called "real" Finns and Estonians. The people that are fanatics in that manner, just check the media and immediately correlate in a racist way, based on the few tiny happenings related to the immigrants.

The Finnish party is called "Perus Suomalaiset" (Native Finns) and the Estonian one is called EKRE (Estonian Conservative National Party).
