My New Song ‘Taking Fire’!!

You're probably wondering what is with Ashley, she has dropped off the face of the earth haha. I know right? No updates for like a week, OMG I know right? haha! Yes, to answer this question I have done absolutely nothing for just over a week now. But there is hope on the horizon!

Last night I was working on the vox (Vocals) for a new song of mine, that has just been finished today, so yes I'm happy about that, and I would have to say my favorite and best track to date, I think so. It was so much fun doing the vox last night, I had so much fun with it hehe. Thanks to Scott Borthwick for encouraging me to do this, I am so happy I made it happen hehe, probably my best track ever haha!

It's a 3 track release (including the 2016 demo version and instrumental version, for those that wish to sing along at home hehe) and that for the moment is on my bandcamp here https://ashleyhm.bandcamp.com/album/taking-fire

Want to know a little bit more about the track?

Well first up, I found a 2016 demo song in my archives that I loved the riffs of and decided to make a new-up-to-date version and have my pro sound engineer from Germany onboard again. It was a wonderful process, though this will be my last project for a long-while I think. It was very fun I must say. The song "Taking Fire", is about the hits we take with getting through life and the people we loose along the way.

I also thought I'd raise the bar for myself and make my best song yet, especially now that it's Pete's from (Studio Live Today) 'Songtember' not that it means too much with my ability to make music. I have never had a problem with getting ideas or stuff like that or problems finishing a song.

Yup, definitely one of your bestest songs so far. The guitar power-chords were dope, especially when the -Chorus-
kicked in and you sang 'Taking fire taking fire in your heart'. It was cool that the chorus guitars changed it's root-note to the different keys.
And as far as I know, this is your longest track so far, - good one! I'm happy to see, that you are making lots of progress in your skills and quality.
So yeah, well done girl, loved it!

Thanks Heikkie, I really appreciate it.
I'm going through some tough times at the moment, and was lucky that I got that song out the door at all.
I have had the loss of some of my close family and it's been a very challenging time. If anything made me happy over the last week
it was doing what I love, making music!
