BOOM!!

Post by Ashley »

Hi everybody! Happy TGI Friday - BOOM!!

I have just finished my new 5-track EP 'We are here for Metal' and this is the last music for me this year. It is soon to drop on all on-line stores in the coming days.
So far it's on my bandcamp site (see link below), I hope you enjoy it hehe, thanks and all the best. :thumbup2: :drinking:

Congrats! Good to hear these again, though I think I see a title or two that are new to me.

Never Give You Up: vocals are kind of overpowering the music on this one. Not sure why but there's like 8 seconds of silence on the end of it too. Seems odd for a song only a minute long.

We Are Here For Metal: same unbalanced mix as the first I think. Is there no bass guitar on these tracks? Think that would do a lot to beef up the sound.

"Songtember 2021" sounds like a new one to me. The mix is noticeably better that the first two tracks: there's a better balance between the vocals and music. The synth part at the end sounds well weird. Like a game soundtrack from an 1990s point&click adventure or summat. Favourite track so far.

Doombringer: yeah, mix sounds better here. And I hear some synth bass too. Certainly fills the hole, but I'm not sure it's really complementing the guitar line.

Battle Beast: canny synth intro... it's really missing some bass though. The strained whisper vocals are relatively too loud again. Quite like most of the guitar riffs on this though. Another of the better tracks.

Voices In My Head: I like the intro to this, but as I think I said before, the synth riff isn't fitting very comfortably.

Ok, gonna listen this now and comment.

Never give you up: Love the guitar in the soundwise. Your voice has a nice character.

We are here for Metal: Liking the outro guitar-lines.

Songtember 2021: This is the best and the most complex one you've ever done - has some cool elements here n there.

Doombringer: Think this has a smaller value than the first 3 one, but still ok.

Battle Beast: Cool synth at the beginning, and love the rhythm-guitar part a lot.

Voices In My Head: Nice song-title - cool melancholic vibe. Nice organ.

Well I sure felt most of the songs + I think the guitars, drums and the vocals had a nice touch. Some great additional sounds here and there. And the 3rd one was the best for me. Well done! :slay2: :slayer2:

Again, I am not the one to be offering advice here, given my background. But.........
I dunno, the drums beat and measure the same between all songs. Is this normal for the genre?
The mix sounds like all but the vox are like I am outside the building in which the are played. No spread or lacking in environment Stage presents)
The vox environs sound different than the backing. Intentional? The backing could come up a bit.
