Music-wise this one was the hardest & most rewarding on the new album. Video is whatever, but I hope someone here enjoys the song despite it being lengthy prog-rock

Very nice intro in this.
I was kind of thinking that this track had some Queen kind of flavor in it. Lots of nice moments during all the song. The guitars and also the drums did lots of interesting stuff during the song. Nice song overall, it was well crafted!

Pinkish...Floyd that is. At first anyway. But, yes, the Yes Flavor is really strong on this one. I think that is part of RR signature sound, it always seems to be ingrained in all the RR songs I have heard over the years.

Drums are a bit too up front or at least the rest is too buried. Some adjustment of both might be in order.

How much control over the reverb do you have? It could used some tweaking with the widths, dryness, and placements.

This is really good. Guitar is killer.

Thank you Heikke! I know prog-rock isn't everyone's thing with the long songs and weird time signatures (this one changes time signature 22 times, the usual 4/4 and and 6/8 waltz and the occasional "dropped beat", but also the more oddball 7/8 and 15/16 which is the parts where it's 4/4 but missing a 16th note at the end of every measure), but yeah not being everyone's thing makes you appreciate when someone takes the time to sit through it all. Thanks again, glad you liked it.

Funny, I always hear it as a little too much vocal, at least until I hit a louder threshold where the rhythm guitar starts to pop (I mostly listen and mix and quite low volumes, sometimes going down to where the music is barely audible to me to see what's sticking out). Tricky with this wall of sound that all the Rabbit tunes turn into by the time we're done adding stuff. Matt sometimes gives me the drums broken out as stems (kick, snare, tom mix, cymbals mix) but often it's a printed 2-mix with his effects already on, so all I can do is subtle EQ, compression if needed and saturation if too clean - I honestly can't recall off the top of my head how broken down this one was. This was the first group of songs I used mid-side delay on the Master to allow some actual depth on headphones (delay the sides by a ridiculously small amount, like .005 milliseconds and stuff pops out, again can't remember the exact number I used but it took a special (but free) plugin to get side-only delays that short)

Er, what was I saying? Tired, lose my place and ramble. But yeah, the mix isn't quite perfect but this is one of a very few number of tunes I'm somewhat actually happy with now that it's over, heh. Rhythm guitars were brutal and I know I couldn't pull it off again today - 100% downstrokes to get consistent aggression, so all those relentless 16th notes pushed the limits of my muscles, playing them as fast as a normal strum would be for 32nd notes.

Thanks! Really happy with the guitars on this one, though I wonder now if the rhythm guitars should have been just a tiny bit louder. Oh who amI kidding, I always want the guitars and bass to be LOUD, heh.
