Fucking Wyoming
The bitch tried seriously to kill me this morning. Almost got jackknifed and blown over from high winds. I made it to an exit ramp and got parked. It’s 14 degrees F with white out conditions from blowing snow.

Re: Fucking Wyoming
So this is not a porno?

Glad you’re okay.
But I have to ask, after hearing all the news from down south.... do you guys never get winter?

Re: Fucking Wyoming
This is an area that gets bad conditions. The elevation is up at 8000 feet where I am. The. It averages around 7000 feet across the state. It’s open tundra with very little wind blockage. The problem up here is when you combine the high winds with the snow and ice. It causes blizzard conditions from the snow on the ground.

Re: Fucking Wyoming
If I had a heavy load, I could have made it through. I have a wing flap for Boeing in the trailer and it only weighs 8000 lbs. That means the trailer is more like a sail. With the blowing snow on the road, tries melt it and it turns to ice. The wind is currently blowing at 40 mph with 80 mph gusts.

Re: Fucking Wyoming
Well the wind died down enough that I was able to make it down to Laramie. At the truck stop.
Re: Fucking Wyoming
I used to see this quite a bit when I lived in Mammoth Lakes. It would be clear skies above but 80 mph winds would come down out of the mountains picking up the fresh power snow. White out. Open the car window on the windward side and the car fills with snow. I once saw a gasoline tank, waiting to be buried, go rolling downwind across the highway. Scary shit.
Glad you are safe.

Re: Fucking Wyoming
The road is still closed to light loads ahead of Laramie. I hope it opens by morning. I would have been in OR at my first stop in the morning if not for this.
