Neat!
Not the software subscription stuff though - I flat out refuse to ever pay per month for any software. But I am old and remember when you could purchase a product instead of rent forever.

Reason 12 subscriber here. It's 19,99€ a month. My last licensed one is Reason 10.
And that's my only software subscription.
The price is actually low enough as i get their all devices (plugins) for free then. :cool_4:

Yeah AutoCAD was yes a drafting, architect, CAD design app, also some of my old versions were under the corp 'Discreet 3DSMAX' so many versions but yes to answer your question Heikkie most software are now services and it's hard to find a full ownership licence of software these days, with so many corps turning to subscriptions these days. It's a shame as they think most of us don't think long term anymore with buying software which is a fucking disgrace, I hate subscriptions and I have too many as it is. If you fall on hard times you can't run your software, I hate this! :evil:

AutoDesk has been around for a long time. It used to be called AutoCAD. I used it extensively back in the late 1980s. It was more of a architect package. I used it as a 2D map data development software in a vector based editor. About the time I stopped working with it they came out with the 3D engine. I did some limited solids work on some hardware I developed in for the soil physics lab. My brother worked with something called Bryce (?) that was a really powerful 3D modeling. I never took to it but I was greatly impressed on what my brother could do. Textures and ray tracing.

Happy Saturday to you all!
I have just cracked open a beer and all my work is done! :drinking:
I finished making this 3D Heavy Metal guy today haha, it was so much fun making it, I think so! :grin:
