vid - Rewired

Post by DollarBill »

I guess I didn't really post this anywhere, need to get back into my old habits. Not my best but I'm out of practice. Filmed live - got a 2nd camera, moved one around while using a static one to hide the motion, thus making it look like I got more gear than I do.

Yo $Bill - liking the distorted sounds and the reverb on the sounds. Nice electronic piece!
I could do this kind of stuff in Reason too, just that it would all be virtual.
Are the cameras of yours expencive? Anyway, rock on bro!

Thanks!
And yeah I could do this better and easier in the computer/DAW (still using it to record and a touch of final compression/EQ) but in the computer isn't as fun for me as the experimentation and "what if" and easy & unusual interconnections that you normally never bother to try in software synths or definitely most hardware since you'd have to MIDI map for days what you can do with moving a few cables around in this silly format.

When I'm actually using it for music, it's all midi from the computer used with one crafted sound at a time to track individually and build up in the DAW, so that I have proper control over it. But sometimes it's just fun to try to get it all out of the box live, percussion and all in one go.

Crap you asked about cameras too and I forgot. Expensive? Heck no. At least not compared to most. They're both Lumix G-series things, not full size cameras, about $500 each including lenses, whereas a friend I know will happily spend $2000 on just a lens. Good enough for what I do and way better than my ancient phone, but won't win any photography awards.

Well 500$ is propably already something. But yeah, I would say that smartphone cameras always make me look ugly. Dunno why.
