Well Happy, Sonic Sunday Smackdown!!

It's Sunday / Easter today and when referring to 'Smackdown' - I mean I have officially been off the drugs (Heroin and ICE) for 1 year today, so yes celebrations are in order today for me!! hehe. With that said I made a new song to celebrate my personal EPIC achievement - Achievement unlocked!!

It will be up on Spotify, iTunes and Google Play soon too..

So my new ditty is called 'In the End', I hope you enjoy listening to it - it was very fun making it.

All the best,
Ash.

That string section was cool - would have liked that to develop a bit more, cos it does a lot to fill the track out and make it more engaging. Once it disappears though it's a real miss and the rest of the track is left sounding kind of underwhelming to be honest. I think this song could really benefit from more work on the arrangement and structure. The disappearance of the strings was kind of abrupt and didn't really make any musical sense. Maybe work it to some sort of crescendo before cutting them out resuming with something more bare-bones or just frenzied and nasty. It's all about dynamics innit.

Congrats on the clean-up BTW. :thumbup2:

If there is anything that there is no future with, it is opioids. Congrats on getting clean from that. I've seen too many people die from that shit in the past years. Always seems like it's talented people too.

I agree the strings would have worked staying in longer. Like the guitars as always!

The reason why I didn't have the strings going for longer was that I wanted to emphasise the guitar parts.
Thanks for the listen.
