OK, I think I am getting the hang of it a bit!

I downloaded a Video Editor called Video Editor Plus Movavi. I did subscribe to their premium service which is 30 bucks a year. I picked them after searching through what was out there and trying IMovie, which is pretty basic. Compared to Adobe, this is cheap. Anyhow, they have a " wizard" to help newbs get started. I downloaded the video snippets from a site called Pixabay, which has a bunch of royalty free video pieces. I uploaded the videos and the song and clicked "Match to music"! I did have more video clips but after a point, my machine was using a tad too much memory and some of them were not running smoothly, so I ended up eliminating some of the clips I had picked.

I recently found something called Di Vincie's Resolve. You can pay an arm and leg for it but they have a full featured free version. Huge learning curve. I can only scratch the surface with my meager still photography and music (recorded and mixed in Sonar, still). After looking at your transitions I may look into that. I have enough photo stock.
