Heads up folks.
If the COVID Relief/government funding bill is delivered to the President's desk tomorrow, December 24, 2020. The President has 10 days to either sign or veto the bill. If the bill is not signed or vetoed after 10 days, the bill becomes law.

EXCEPTION;
The current congressional session ends on January 3, 2021. No bills from the 116th Congress can be instated after this date. The entire process must begin anew when the new congress comes to session. 10 days from tomorrow is January 4th. All Trump as to do is sit on his hands and do nothing in order to kill the current COVID Relief/government funding.

If the current bill is let to expire on the President's desk, January 4, 2021, all the COVID protections go away, but also, the government will be shutdown till a new funding bill is signed by the President. The bill must go through the entire congressional process, again. Until that new bill has a signature the government is shutdown. The current COVID protections expire December 26.

Like I said, Trump is a Russian agent and is guilty of espionage.

there is a new more contagious strain of the Covid 19 virus in the uk, halting all flights for 48 hours, I think that is up now, there was 2500 trucks parked up in Dover. And the truckers can only get through if they tested negative of the Virus, we had 970 new cases in Ireland yesterday, we think the new strain has entered Ireland and we go to level 5 lockdown from the 27th. its crazy.

The hospital where my wife works, has their ICU full. My daughter had it, but had a mild case and recovered with no problems. Half the administrative staff at my wife's hospital have it. They won't lock down here. They are ok with people getting it.

We're staying in tier 3 - looks like cases are falling here, which is a nice change given the shit-show that it was earlier in the year. I do think it's quite telling that harsher measures are being implemented now that London has gone completely down the toilet, but I guess that's pretty typical of UK decision making in general.

Oh man, that sucks. Still - glad your daughter made a full recovery :)

I had covid at the beginning of March. It thankfully was a mild case. I still suffer from relapses but those are going away.

It is a weird disease.
It actually first showed itself with lower abdominal pain.
Three days later I popped a mild fever.
Coughed off an on for about 2 to 3 weeks. I still occasionally have mild breathing issues.
It made my skin on my hands itch, dry up and flake.
Felt like I had a bad cold that just would not go away.
It wrecked my sinuses and still does to this day.
Mild cognitive issues too. Those are going away..........wait, what?
and of all things I lost some hair.

My niece had it too but it almost killed her. They refused to test her saying she had a cold. Apparently the low fever runs in the family.
She is fine now but has some of the same issues I do.

I'm glad your daughter is well hnry. Albany was a friggin mess back in April and May. The hospital was full with high death rates. The entire place was in lockdown and stayed that way until April. Pretty scary. Most people ware masks now and distance themselves. But there are the assholes that still believe it is all a hoax. It astounds me how stupid some people can be.

My nieces had it too, hit the family unit pretty hard but only one of them went to hospital for it, not much chance of me catching it as I self isolate and when I do go out I wear a mask.

Glad all you guys and family are well and recovered.
