Well this mixing related wisdom might be the biggest thing, that can raise your music value upwards.
So called The "Lazy mixing Syndrome" simply means that your motivation and energy to mix and tweak goes too low.
Remember that Reason has everything there, to make it possible for you to bake a superb track.
But when you are getting too lazy and don't push your mind and don't work accurately enough, you'll probably also sound halfbaked more than otherwise would. And composing, mixing, tweaking and mastering isn't rocket-science. You just need to understand that it is possible to get a really good mix out of Reason and usually it just requires your attention to accomplish that.
Also, the biggest mixing skills are very simple really, i.e. you just LISTEN and then minimize the flaws out of your all sounds + for the overall mix too. As example, EQ does 50% to get your music sounding decent. You also would need to decide if you should take off a reverb or any other fx etc. the small things usually do most of it.
And remember to take a break sometimes and sleep, eat well, etc too.
