What is foinfing? Well, if you have to ask, then you don't get the obscure reference, but who cares. I had fun making it.

Anyway here's a vid with silly noises involving lots of silly equipment.

Thanks!
I'd do a dog one, but I'd have to buy a bunch of toys first. I do have a dancing cactus that samples audio through a cheap mic with a horrible speaker though...

Propably Temu.com might have some very cheap 'music toys' - or Aliexpress. I might buy some myself and record them into my PC and then make a soundbank. So far I've recorded lots of stuff with all kinds of items in my house and loaded them into a granular sampler - then tweaked til something interesting turned out. :P

I did some toys/noisemakers sampling in the wayback, but then rarely used them - I think the visual aspect really helps sell it on the cheap stuff unless the sound can really stand on it's own (or if you're more sonically creative & skilled than me, at least). On the other hand, I have plans for another eloborate one like this, but man it is just so much simpler to record sound than to try to do video while recording the sound, and now you have to worry about lighting, framing, focus, etc...

Anyway, I really appreciate your support, helps keep me doing this silly stuff.

And because I never explained it - "foinf" came about in a humorous news forum I visit where someone misspelled "going", off by one key on the g's. The moderators didn't correct it, and as usual instead of discussing the news article, everyone just made fun of the submitter and it became a "thing" there for a while. It died out except in one tiny corner I visit, which is similar to but different from the Garbage Can of old - I'd link but the area is behind the paywall ($10/month or $100/year) so... but the site itself is Fark.com, and was where I first heard of Soundclick all those years ago.
