Delayed Gratification

So I used very simple note parts in each track, then used a digital delay effect at different settings to create the complex rhythms. Other than the delay, I used a warm phase distortion on the synth guitar part.

Sounds pretty good to me, I like the simplicity a lot! Well done!

I had been thinking about something like this, using delay as the primary builder of the rhythmic parts and got to thinking about it again last night after listening to your rack produced tunes. I was a little worried that using delay on everything would be like using reverb on everything and create a sea of mud but it opened up nicely with panning and cutting highs and lows in EQ in the master.

I dig this. It's one of those tracks I can just hear all sorts of possible avenues of development. The skittery wee drum track is right up my alley. Love that synth that comes in at 0:36. I like that there's a fair bit going on in terms of layers of sounds. That vaguely Japanese-sounding piano riff is pretty sweet too. Some breakbeats and massive sub-bass would really set this one off I reckon. Good work!

Very uplifting little tune. Lots of cool sounds all over the tune. Good quality mix too. The video and the music work together well. Nice work Henry! :8D: :notes:
